LG G5310

LG-200 and LG G5310

LG is quite a new brand compared to the other older ones. Even so, they  have been trying to improve on their products and as can be seen, the design has become more sleek and interesting.

LG-200 only has SMS while now, LG G5310 is equipped with the new technology of MMS and EMS. Gone were the days of not having enough space in your phonebook to add more names. An improvement from the former 40 names, the user can now add as many as 200 x 5 names. Boring ringtones can now be replaced with the more funky polyphonic ringtones and one can even download them from the internet. LG G5310 is also equipped with GPRS which was not found in LG-200. WAP browser, Java, eZi text (T9) are also included in LG G5310.

All in all, the changes are favourable and adds on to the efficiency of using the phone.

SGH-250 and SGH-C200

Many developments have been made over the years. Here the changes are very much seen just by looking at the design on the outside. The former is no longer available in the market.

In SGH-250, there were no games, no alarm, no clock, no infrared port, and no GPRS. Many of the features which are in the SGH-C200 are not found in the SGH-250. With advanced technology, MMS and EMS are now available compared to just SMS in the past. Polyphonic ringtones replaces the normal ones and Java, WAP browser, scheduler and voice dials can now be found in SGH-C200.

Today a Samsung phone is less than half its original weight. It is about 85 grams while the SGH-250 is 179 grams in weight. Without a doubt, Samsung phones have come a long way.

Nokia 6110

Nokia 7610

Nokia 6110 and 7610

Comparing one of Nokia’s earliest model 6110 and the recent release 7610, one can see the vast improvements in the features of the mobile phones…

In the past, mobile phones had only features that caters for SMS as well as phone calls but in the present, features such as integrated camera have emerged, not only for taking snapshots but also for video recording. MP3 players have also been added to phones (like 7610) to enable users to listen to music they like rather than just from the radio.

New technology have also included softwares and programs such as GPRS, WAP browser and Java support.

One most significant change is the colour of the images. The screen used to be black and white but now, not only is it coloured, the launching of LCD screens and megapixel camera have also help to enhance the quality of the pictures.

Motorola T2288 and E398

Similarly, Motorola have been trying to improve their phones every year without fail too.

Bluetooth, Java, WAP and GPRS have also been brought in. Motorola handphones having colour LCD screens is of no big surprise too.

One key factor was to increase the capability of the phone and yet reduce the weight of it. Comparing the two models above, the later weighs 30g lighter than the former. This is quite a significant figure.

Talk time and standby time have also been lengthened for the later models and build in camera as well as polyphonic ringtone are also available in Motorola phones now.
